1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …keep counting to 2,500. Then add a dollar sign.
$2,500 is the amount of the fine which will be assessed against you if your logs inspected by the officer at a roadside inspection reveal that you have driven more than 11 hours in the prior seven days.
Please be careful as you log – even as you draw lines – as often a driver who thinks he has taken off 10 hours for rest the night before has actually logged only 9 3/4 hours. This simple error can create a 11 hour violation, and a $2,500 loss for you.
